Was extremely confident with the whole procedure carried out promptly and professionally. Also aftercare was reassuring especially during this crisis.

Dr Lavnish Joshi was a great help. He was very thorough and informative. Having been placed with other surgeons/doctors he was by far the most experienced and honest. I thank him for saving the vision in my eye as I hopefully have many years left and to be partially sighted at my age would be a struggle.

Lavnish Joshi has been treating me for a macular hole and recently carried out a vitrectomy operation on my eye. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. His explanation of my condition and vitrectomy procedure was very clear and informative. He is also very pleasant and personable which helped to put me at ease during a worrying time. I was pleased when I found out that he would be treating me as a neighbour was also treated by him and was very happy with the care he received.

I am so happy with the treatment I received from Mr.Lavnish Joshi, for an epiretinol membrane. I feel so fortunate that we have such scientific diagnostic equipment and such highly qualified surgeons in the N.H.S.

Had a very frightening experience with a big vitreous haemmorhage in my right eye and I was a total nervous wreck. Am so grateful to Mr Joshi for his wonderful skill, professionalism and compassion. As soon as he was aware of my situation he ensured I had immediate treatment and I knew instinctly I could trust him implicitly. Everything was explained fully. He has built up a wonderful team around him.who treated me with great kindness. I would like to reassure anyone who is referred to Mr Joshi that they will be under the care of a remarkable surgeon. He also has a genuinely charming personality, which helps a great deal. I had a vitrectomy, internal limiting membrane peel, gas insertion for vitreous haemorrhage secondary to retinal macro aneurysm. Two weeks later the gas bubble has dispersed, my sight is improving. I will have to have a cataract operation as this op does lead to cataract growth apparently, but after an emergency operation I can approach this with less apprehension. For most people the prospect of injections, let alone operations on the eye whilst fully awake, is the stuff of nightmares. Quite frankly, although there are more enjoyable experiences, one only feels a little mild discomfort at times, not pain. The worst part is fear of the unknown. Try and visualise being in a favourite place and concentrate on that instead of the operating theatre. It worked for me!
